THE ROUTE FOR THE 15th. ANNIVERSARY OF THE
WESTON-SUPER-MARE RUN
SUNDAY MAY 17th. 2009
The meeting point is at Wayne Bowen Motorcycles
Treorchy so be there early
(08.45 to 09.15) for a prompt start at 09.30.
The reason for this is we have a Police Escort down through the valley.
We will proceed down through the valley Pentre, Ystrad, Llwynypia, Trealaw,
Porth and onto Pontypridd to join the A470 to Cardiff.
We then join the A48 past the Heath Hospital and carry on the A48 towards Newport.
We then join the M4 just before Newport and leave at junction 24 to
re-join the A48 towards Chepstow.
At the main roundabout before Chepstow turn right to go over the old SEVERN
BRIDGE and then head for the SERVICES where we reg-roup and have a cuppa. (René
makes a collection for their local charities which are the Special Needs School YNYSWEN, the Rhondda Asperger Group and the ACU benevolent fund)
We then leave the services and head for Avonmouth and join the A4 towards Bristol,
then follow the signs for the southwest and WESTON-SUPER-MARE.
We then cross over the M5 motorway and follow the signs for the seafront.
Please do not park in front of the Tourist information centre as arrangements
have been made to park on the old TROPICANA car park which is reserved for us.
You can them park up your motorcycles (do not forget to lock them as the responsibility
is yours) and then do your own thing, have food, a walk about chat to new friends,
make arrangements to go elsewhere, Wooky Hole, Cheddar Caves etc, the choice
is yours as long as you have a nice day. .
