The
Rhondda Motor Club has run many trials through the years but sadly due to lack
of support to run these events the club has had to drop them from the calendar.
The two main events used to be the HARRY JONES TRIAL which used to be held at
the end of March. and The PHIL JONES TRIAL which used to be held at the end of September.
THE HARRY JONES CENTRE LEAGUE TRIAL
HELD AT BWLFFA FARM ON
SUNDAY MARCH 21st. 2004

Torrential
rain severerly hampered the setting out of the usual course which is normally
ridden at this grade of event.
The stream sections were well flooded and any attempt to ride them would almost
certainly flooded the trials bikes.
Overall a good day was had by all riders who thoroughly enjoyed a wide and good
selection of sections, the most challenging being a graded hill climb where only
Chris Herbert (ex Welsh Champion) scored a clean.
The steep grass banks with a mixture of tricky if not nasty rocks also took
a lot of marks.
The Sportsman Course was strongly entered and the usual entry of Classic bikes
possibly found the sections a little testing especially after a downpour of
hailstones between laps 3 and 4.
Rhondda Motor Club would like to thank all who entered and all who observed
on a difficult day (MOTHERS DAY)
The next Rhondda Motor Club Trial will be held on Sunday September 26th. 2004.
