Before the first World War people were purchasing motorcycles for pleasure, then when the war was over people started purchasing them again.
It was at that time when everyone wanted relaxation and some exitement so the motorcycle became their pleasure once again.
A few men got together and decided that a sort of club should be formed, so sometime in the year 1919 the Rhondda Motor Club was founded.
Ladies
were introduced to the club and they helped condiderably with the social side
of the club nd they are still active in the club now but not as much as they
were in the 50's and 60's.
The club started doing Grasstrack at the Oval in Treorchy also at other places in the Rhondda,
We don't know who the actual founders of the club were but it is hopefull that
someone out there knows and will contact the club through e-mail link above,
or phone René on 01443 422483. or you can write to me at 161 Trealaw
Road, Tonypandy, R.C.T. CF40 2NX.
