The Rhondda Motor Club held it's 85th Anniversary Dinner and Presentation on Saturday March 27th 2004 at the Heritage Park Hotel.
It was attended by 133 people, members past and present and also some visitors who mingled and exchanged memories.

The oldest person there on the night was Mrs. Cassie Jones(93), widow of the late Mr. Cyril Jones who was President until Mr. Wayne Bowen took over the position. Mrs. Jones was invited to the Dinner as she had donated a shield to be awarded on the night in memory of her late husband.

The shield is to be awarded to the Club Member who has the best performance in Trials. The first recipient of this shield was Mr. Dean Smith who was also the Welsh Champion in the Non-Expert class.

Mrs. Cassie Jones is giving a little speech about the award she is going to give to Mr. Dean Smith for his role as best Trials rider in the RHONDDA MOTOR CLUB.

Mr. Frank Perris having a chat to Mr. David Barfoot who is being awarded the Francis Jones Shield for his perfomances in Road Racing.
1st in the 125cc Junior Class and third overall in the 125cc class.
When David won these events he was only 16 years of age.

The last photo in this group is the Quiz Winner Mr. Kevin O'Brien, whose wife Cheryl declined a photo saying Kevin was the 'brain' on the night.
